I’m Matt Farley, I’m from Colorado, I live in Dallas, and I love food. Everyone should love food and most people do, but I worship food. I make noises and have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming during meals. My favorite compliment and one that I get fairly regularly is, “You’re so fun to cook for!” It’s hard to have a bad day that starts with a great breakfast, and what started as a bad day can end as a magnificent one with a great dinner. Lunch? What would we do without it?
Of course, you know I’m passionate about food; I’ve started a restaurant review website. Other than passion, why am I doing this? There are a few reasons.
- I’m fascinated by chefs, but I don’t think I can be one. I’m no quitter and I love to cook, but when I watch Netflix’s Chef’s Table, I just know that I don’t have what they have. I’m ok with that, but I still want to learn more about chef’s and I think this is a great way to do that.
- People love food. I’ve done my fair share of performing and I know how important it is to pick the right audience. WHO DOESN’T LIKE FOOD? My audience is everyone that eats. Now I just hope my audience cares about what I have to say.
- I believe in the power of food and people breaking bread together. Some of my best memories are meals. My girlfriend, Hanna, and I love reminiscing the best meals we’ve had together. Partly because it’s fun to think about the food, but mostly because of the experience and the memories of where we were, how we felt, and what that beautiful moment of life meant to us.
